Robert Downey Jr. has promised Marvel fans that the last eight minutes of Avengers: Endgame are the best in the entire history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

What a huge statement to make.

The 54-year-old, who plays Iron Man aka Tony Stark, in the hugely popular franchise has made the very telling admission ahead of the Infinity War sequels release next week.

The last eight minutes of that movie are maybe the best eight minutes in the entire history of the whole run of them, in a way, because everyones involved, the actor revealed to The Upcoming.

Of course, the actors words can be put up for interpretation because using the word everyone leaves us with more questions than answer.

Does he mean everyone as in every superhero we know that is billed for the film?

Or is he including the fallen soldiers we crumbled to dust following supervillain Thanos mighty, and devastating, finger snap in Infinity War?

His statement is also a pretty big one to make considering that MCU now has 22 films under its belt.

Can eight minutes from a three-hour movie really and truly be the best ever?

If so we have no choice but to keep our fingers crossed for the other 2 hours and 52 minutes. Lets hope they live up to the standards of the magic last eight minutes, shall we?

RDJs comments come not long after he posts a throwback to simpler times with Spider-Man co-star Tom and its breaking our hearts all over again.

For starters, it has been an entire year since young Spidey – aka Peter Parker – disappeared into nothingness right in Iron Mans hands.

Referencing the guise that Peter spends his time as an intern for Tony, instead of saving the world as one of the Avengers, the star can be seen holding up a certificate from Stark Industries.

#Tbt to simpler times… I love you kid… #peterparker#spiderman #starkindustries#starkinternship, the actor wrote.

The love is real boss man ♥, the Spiderman actor replied in the comments.

Safe to say, fans simply werent prepared for it after the heartbreak of losing Peter.

I guess hes feeling a lot better now Mr. Stark ? one joked.

”I love you kid…” SHUT UP OMG MY HEART, another added.

Sorry, this video isn't available any more.

One more emotional fan summed up everyones feelings by simply telling the pair: IM A SAD B***H.
