Its something that all Marvel fans have been wondering and asking themselves in the small dark hours.
That question being, just what is the title of Avengers 4?
Its been a closely guarded secret, in fact, its been kept so secret that the films directors the Russo brother have gone to incredible lengths to not mention it or even hint at it.
But now it seems that the films cinematographer, Trent Opaloch, has let slip the films name by posting it at the top of his resume, which reads, Avengers: End game.
Yes, we did a sharp intake of breath too, as this is one title that was bandied around during the Infinity War frenzy at the start of this year.

In fact, the Russo brothers even went as far as to brush off suggestions that this was the title.
But, given their love of secrecy and playing games when it comes to keeping things under wraps (Tom Hollands fake script being one example), it could make sense.
The title would be apt, given that this is the film which will help certain characters to finally bow out and move the MCU into its brand new post-Thanos arc phase.
Its also a nice reference to a crucial piece of dialogue in Infinity War, which sees Doctor Strange and Tony Stark talk about the end game – the one plan in millions that Strange foresaw them possibly stopping Thanos.
It also fits nicely with the theory that this film will see an end for not one but a number of key MCU characters.

Both Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans are believed to be preparing to bow out of their iconic roles, and the fact that the Russo brothers have been clear in saying that this film will shock audiences.

Speaking to Metro.co.uk earlier on this year, Joe Russo said of the forthcoming film: What we want is for the audience to be prepared, as theres a lot of surprises – theres going to be a lot of humour and a lot of heartbreak.
So is this really the end Game for the Avengers as we know it? Thats a certainty to be honest.
What we cant be sure of is who will go and how they will go.
