
When Stormzy agreed to headline Glastonbury, he knew he would be making history and couldnt wait to share it with the world.

Im overwhelmed with emotions, this is the most surreal feeling Ive ever experienced.
But, while the rapper is the second youngest solo act to ever headline Glastonbury, he has come to realise that his claim to be first black British artist was a terrible blunder.
On Monday, Stormzy went back on to Twitter to rectify his claims.
He wrote: Skin from the band Skunk Anansie was actually the first black artist to headline glasto she done it with her band in 1999 no disrespect intended and MASSIVE salute to you – my apologies !

He also tagged Skin in the tweet.

Skunk Anansie performed on the Pyramid Stage (the same Stormzy performed on on Friday) at Glastonbury in 1999 and the British rock band took to Instagram to refute the rappers original claim.

But, the band didnt seem to be offended by the claim wishing him well with his performance.
