Bollywood star Sridevi was posthumously awarded best actress at the International Indian Film Academy Awards ceremony on Sunday night for her portrayal a vengeful mother in Hindi crime thriller Mom.
Her husband, film producer Boney Kapoor, accepted the award on her behalf and with tears in his eyes told the audience: I have mixed emotions today.
I miss her every minute and second of my life. I still feel she is around here….I want you all to support Janhvi like you supported her mother.
SridevI, 54, was found dead in February from what was later confirmed as a heart attack; she was discovered in the bathtub her husband, film producer Kapoor.
One of Bollywoods super stars, appearing in over 100 movies spanning six remarkable decades, Sridevi had picked up a number of awards for her performances over the years after making a name for herself in the 1987 adventure film, Mr India.
He also dedicated the award to the team behind Mo,; Sredevis co-star Nawazuddin Siddiqui took home the award for best actor in a supporting role for the film and dedicated it to Sridevi.

Irrfan Khan picked up the award for best actor for playing the role of a Delhi-based businessman Raj Batra in Hindi Medium; Khan is currently undergoing cancer treatment in the UK and his Haider co-star Shraddha Kapoor accepted the award on his behalf.

The best picture award went to Tumhari Sulu, which had scored a maximum of seven nominations at the IIFA 2018; the film tells the story of a middle-class housewife Sulu (played by
Vidya Balan) whose life changes when she becomes the host of a late night radio show.
It has been nominated for seven awards but only took home one in the end.
Saket Chaudhary was awarded best director for Hindi Medium, while veteran actor Anupam Kher was honoured with the Outstanding Achievement award by his co-star of many films, Anil Kapoor.
The 2000-seater Siam Niramit theatre saw thousands of Bollywood fans snap up tickets for the event which, as well as the awards, also saw A-listers such as Ranbir Kapoor, Varun, Arjun, Kriti Sanon, Bobby Deol and Shraddha perform for the crowds.
