
She makes her acting debut in a film about recognising raw star potential in an artist.
And it resonates with Lady Gaga, who says she was told early on that she should change the way she looked to become a big pop singer.
Speaking at the London premiere of A Star Is Born this week, the 32-year-old revealed that she was once advised to get a nose job because it would help her career.
She told Sky News: I was told when I was first starting out that I should get a nose job, but I didnt because I wanted to be who I was.
Seven Billboard Music Awards, six Grammys, three BRITs and an Academy Award nomination later, and she clearly didnt need it.

The musician continued: I really believed in myself when I started out pounding on doors to break down all of the barriers in the music industry, I really had courage.

Her character Ally, a meek but talented singer, is discovered by alcoholic music superstar Jackson Maine (played by Bradley Cooper) after consistently being knocked back because she didnt fit the cookie-cutter image of a singer.

In the trailer, Ally says: Almost every single person has told me they like the way I sounded but they didnt like the way I look.
Ally doesnt have that [courage], Gaga continued. Shes not brave and shes not full of self-confidence.
Gaga, who broke into the music industry herself in 2008, is already being praised for her luminous performance in the film and her electrifying chemistry with Bradley.
The popstar previously won a Golden Globe for her acting performance in American Horror Story: Hotel but this will be her big screen debut.
