Little Mixs Jade Thirlwall has revealed that pregnancy rumours inspired the bands latest single and music video.
Speculation that the singer was pregnant with her first child emerged earlier this year when she was pictured entering a recording studio wearing loosely fitted clothes.
But now, the 25-year-old has confessed that the incident inspired Strip, a song encouraging women to to be who they are.
In an interview with The Times Magazine, Jade said: We were going into the studio one day and we did look a bit rough.

And lo and behold, there was an online article the next morning, with comments like, “Is Jade pregnant? Look how fat she is,” and, “Dont they look ugly?”
She added: We got really upset. But then we thought, you know what? Fuck it. Lets do a song about it.

Jades revelation comes after the band released their new music video for Strip yesterday (16 October). The girl group shared their highly anticipated video, taken from their fifth album LM5 to eager fans.
The quartet co-directed the video with renowned director and photographer Rankin and invited ordinary women to star in the video beside them.
Their idea was to strip the bands look right back and show the beautiful features in a move that has been praised by fans.
A pleased fan tweeted: The #Strip music video is really inspirational and its meaning is so powerful for people (like me) who arent confident at all about their bodies. So thanks @LittleMix
Another called the group role models, writing: Strip is such an important song and video. sexiest when im confident.
This is exactly the reason why little mix are such rolemodels!

The lyrics and video of “Strip” is another level, I cant believe that Little Mix DID THAT, Im so damn proud of them, said another moved fan.
YouTube Music exclusively unveiled the video at a Little Mix fan event in London last night while the video was also premiered on their YouTube Music channel at the same time.
The screens in Piccadilly Circus, London were also playing the video to fans in the capital throughout the evening.

A few months ago, we invited many different women to be a part of our brand new music video for Strip, said Leigh-Anne.

In the picture released ahead of the video, the girls have been inked with words that they once saw as flaws but now recognise as being their strengths.
The Strip video features author and blogger Dina Tokio, Breast Cancer charity Coppafeels Kristin Hallenga, natural hair advocate Nia The Light, journalist and mental health ambassador Bryony Gordon, Nimco Alie from FGM activist group Daughters of Eve and plus size model Felicity Hayward.
It also features trans model and role model Maxim Magnus, police detective constable Janey Camille, upcoming singer songwriter Alice Chater, and many other inspirational women including the girls friends and family.

Strip is a turning point. Were talking about stuff weve wanted to speak about for ages. Weve all suffered from body confidence and negative comments, and up until now we didnt really have a song we felt addressed everything we needed to, added Jesy, while Perrie said: We just want women to feel equal and incredible.
